AUSTRALIAN SPRINTCAR ALL STARS |

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS – 2007 /
2008
|
|
1. |
Maximum
engine capacity is per 360ci. SCCA or ASCS 360ci Specifications only |
|
2.
|
All cars must be SCCA Registered.
|
|
3. |
All
Drivers, Cars & Crews MUST be in the pits before 4.30pm.
Compulsory drivers meeting at
5.00pm. 50 bonus points awarded
for complying with both of these.
|
|
4. |
All
drivers MUST attend Drivers Meeting promptly. Drivers must be in
Driving Suit unless told otherwise by Chief Steward. Drivers must
sign the Official Nomination Form and pay the required $20
fee prior to the Drivers
Meeting in order to be included
in the draw for the night. If this NOM fee is not
paid the Driver WILL NOT go into the night’s draw. |

Engine starts and wheel packing at 5.30pm, unless
advised otherwise by an All Stars Official. Any Driver not on the
infield for
engine
starts, seated and ready for push off by 5.30pm will be penalised 10
points.
|
|
6.
|
Cars
are to assemble on infield in their correct Heat order. Hot Lap
session will be from 5.45pm. Cars MUST hot lap in correct
group of
their Heat. Cars not ready will forfeit the right to hot lap.
|
|
7.
|
Car
and Driver qualify as a Team. Each driver can qualify only one
car. A driver may change cars as per SCCA rulebook. 5.17 |
|
8.
|
Weight Rule is 1540lbs. including driver.
Bolt on weight must be as per SCCA2007 Rule book
|
|
9. |
Hydraulic wings / cockpit adjustable
wings are allowed. |
|
10. |
All Competitors MUST use RACEceiver scanners. These
can either be purchased for $230 GST inclusive or hired nightly for
$30 from the All Stars. |
|
11. |
Transponders must be used at Tracks that have
Electronic Timing Systems. Transponders can be purchased for $480 plus
GST or hired on the night for $20 There
is no nightly fee at Rolling Thunder Raceway for Competitors who
have their own transponders.
|

12. |
The
first 5 cars after the A-Main are to go directly to the scales. Failure to
do so will result in disqualification from the A-Main and all points
& prize money |
|
13. |
Cars not finishing a heat will be awarded
drop out points. The
Chief Steward must declare cars as finishers. |
|
14. |
All feature races
will start with an 18-car field unless otherwise advised. |
|
15. |
Anyone who qualifies for the A Main and cannot
compete due to mechanical problems or any other reason
will be awarded last place points. |
|
16. |
Feature Presentation laps will be either 3 or 4 cars
wide as directed by All Star officials on the night. The
presentation laps are deemed to have commenced when the 3-4 wide has
been signalled by the Race Director and completed when the 1 lap
signal is shown by the Race Director. If a car stops due to an accident
during the presentation laps they will be allowed
to restart in their original position.

Reserves are not required for the A Main |

18 |
Lapped cars are to
go to the rear of the field in running order as per last recorded
lap.
|
|
19 |
Red Light
Stoppages. It will be at the discretion of the Chief Steward
whether the pit gate is to be opened or closed. |
|
20 |
Starts will
happen in a START ZONE. This will be from the mid of turn 4 to a line placed on the
track partway into the main straight. The race will go green when it
is considered that the front two cars are lined up side by side. If the
cars are not side-by-side before they reach the white line the race
will not start. The pole car will still set the pace at the start
but will not accelerate until the green light / flag is shown.
If a car goes before the light / flag is shown then that car will be
considered to have jumped and the jump-start
rule will apply. At combined Sprintcar Thunder Series
events the Chief Stewart will advise drivers at Drivers meeting the
method of starting. |

When
a race is deemed to be a dead heat (ie: Chief Steward cannot decide
between 2 or more cars at the line) the points for
the placing’s shall be added together and then divided
between the respective drivers. |
|
22 |
Rule 7.6 (1) and 7.6 (2) in the current
SCCA rule book regarding “Primary Cause” will not be enforced in All
Star competition. |
|
23 |
All questions on any decisions must be
made through the driver’s representative. |
|
24 |
All cars must display the official decals of major
All Star sponsors, or any other designated sponsors to be eligible for
contingency or point fund.
Please consult an All Star official if this position is currently
taken on your car to arrange another placement.

25 |
Contingency stickers are to be
placed as below in the blue shaded area [illustration only] |
|
|
27 |
Prize money will be paid to the Owner of the
car. |
|
28. |
Points are awarded
to the car for each nights racing |
|
29. |
Points received in
the A or B Features only will be included in the overall Series
Points. |
|
30.
| Series points &
payout are based on the race team / car. Not the driver. |
If 2 or more teams/cars are equal on points at the
end of all rounds of the Series, the winner will be the team that has the
most feature
wins. If still equal the team
that accumulates the most points in the A Feature throughout the
Series. |

31. |
The All Stars have
the right to change the Sup-Regs |

FORMAT |

a. |
Heats will be drawn on
Championship Pointscore.
Championship leader to Heat 1,
second to Heat 2, third to Heat 3, fourth to Heat 1, etc.
The second
round of heats reverse grid
|

b. |
For the first round of the Series
All Star Officials will seed drivers . |
|
c. |
No changing of lanes between
heats . |
|
d. |
All Star Officials will seed
drivers new to the current
series.
|
|
|
2. |
Bonus Points, Heat
Points & Passing points are used to calculate the A Main start. |
|
3. |
Top 6 in points on
the night qualify into Pole Shoot Out. |
| 4. |
Finishing position
in the Pole Shoot out determines the starting position for the A
Main. |
|
5. |
Position 7 – 12 in
points qualifies into the A Main. |
|
6. |
Position 13 back
qualify into the B Main |
|
7. |
If 18 cars or less
there will be no B Main |
|
8. |
Passing points are given in Heats. |
|
9. | Cars not completing
a Heat will be awarded drop out points as per the order they finish |
|
10. |
Cars not
completing the A Main are awarded points as per drop out order towards the
Series Pointfund |
