All Stars Return To Redline
All Stars Media posted Thursday February 11, 2010.

The Fire Service Plus Sprintcar All Star Series returns to Redline Raceway, Ballarat this Saturday night. Hot on the heels of the Victorian 360 Title, competitors are backing up for 2 weeks in a row. Phil Lock, the newly crowned Victorian Title holder in the Aussie Drains #V4 will be looking to take out his third Series win whilst reigning Series Champion and winner of the last years round at Redline Paul “Cyclone” Solomon will have other plans in mind.

With only 3 rounds remaining in the Series the points chase is really getting down to the wire, with only 70 points separating 1st place and 8th place. Also a battle of the States is developing with 4 South Australian cars and 4 Victorians battling it out in this top 8.

“With a 3 week layoff for the All Stars to allow for the ‘busy time’ of the year, the Competitors still have plenty of racing coming up in February. The 360 Victorian Title at Simpson Raceway last weekend and the 360 Australian Title at Murray Bridge on Feb 27 & 28th the month is really hectic for them.” Mandy Searle informs us. “3 major meetings in 1 month – exciting stuff!” says Searle.

This Saturday night brings the return of a couple of All Star regulars that have been missing for most of this season. Darren Hickman in the #V40 Deep Creek Marina J & J and Troy Little in the Aussie Stop Leak, Kimbo Transport #NSW 20 are both returning for Redline. “Both drivers have missed most of this season with work and family commitments and it is great to have them back. They are both exciting to watch.” Mandy tells us.

Current Series regulars – #SA75 Colin Brooks, #SA33 Mark Caruso, #SA22 Chad Ely, #V83 Chris Solomon, #V15 Wild Bill Fraser, #SA11 Karl Enderl – not to forget the earlier mentioned Champions of Lock & Paul Solomon and it is guaranteed to be an excellent race.

The 2 Seater Sprintcar which has become a regular treat at all Fire Service Plus Sprintcar All Star shows will be used as a fund raiser for the Trotter family after their tragic loss recently. We hope the spectators will be generous and give towards this good cause.

Grand Parade starts at 5.00pm – Redline Raceway, Buninyong. For more info check out www.redlinespeedway.org.au
