Timmis Speedway Claim Back The Final
All Stars Media posted Monday February 15, 2010.

In the short history of the Fire Service Plus Sprintcar All Star Series Timmis Speedway have been a huge supporter of the Series. So much so that they have taken on the prestigious Series Final each season. At the start of this season Mildura Speedway Drivers Club President Royston Lloyd spoke with Series Promoter Mandy Searle and between them they decided to take on a prime time race date in preference to the final round at Timmis Speedway. This January 2nd date proved to be a fantastic success for both the local club and the Series. Creating history for the Series also by having the Pro Video Big Screen at the event it bought another level to the night.

After such a succesful event talks were held between Lloyd and Searle about the possibility of securing the Series Final back again at Mildura. The Series had originally scheduled the final round to be at Rolling Thunder Raceway on April 17th. Searle approached Promoter of the venue Ray Solomon and he was willing to pass this date along to Mildura. So with the approval from Solomon an agreement was made for the Final round to be moved to Timmis Speedway.

The date has not changed – still April 17th.

“We are rapt to be back at what we affectionately call Party Central for our Series Final. All our team love going to Mildura – the locals always make us feel so welcome. We can make another huge weekend out of the event and plan to have a party night on Friday 16th, Car display Saturday morning, racing Saturday night and our Series Presentation Cabaret on Sunday night - 18th.” An excited Searle tells us. “we are in negoations at the moment to bring a Big Screen to the final event also so hopefully this will be successful and we can provide a full package of entertainment on the night.”

With their regular 2 seater sprintcar, live audio coverage that is now at all rounds, exciting racing, crowd give aways, a big video screen - just look how far this small series has come over the short seasons.
