To all the 31 cars that contested the 3 night 360 Australian Title at Murray Bridge- well done! As was expected the racing was exciting. With names like Jones, Barlee, Brooks, Barry, Lock, Barrand, Caruso, Ely, Hickman, Ruhs, and McIver – and the list goes on!

So Congratulations not only to the Top 4 of Allan Barlee, Darren Hickman, Darryl Wright & Phil Lock but to all the talented drivers that made the contested this race meeting.

Every team has a different story to tell at the end of the weekend, some of them good and some not so good. Regular All Star Competitors of Mark Caruso, Chad Ely, David Cook, Wild Bill Fraser, Shannon Barry certainly did not have a weekend they would have preferred. But others like, Adam Currie, Craig Bensch and Kate Searle – just to name a few excelled on the weekend.

To mention only one of the stories for the weekend – #SA99 Josh Ruhs lent his spare engine to fellow competitor #SA33 Mark Caruso for the second night of racing. Ruhs became involved in an incident that seriously damaged his chassis and knocked a water line off the motor in the Heats early on the second night which in turn put him into the B Main. The crew repaired the engine (remember he loaned out his spare engine) welded the chassis, finished 1st in the B Main to run 5th place in the A Main – a big drive!

But as we say there are too many stories to tell them all.

Murray Bridge Speedway made everyone feel welcome at the event and should be thanked for their support of 360’s.
