Annual Col Beasley Classic 2021
All Stars Media posted Wednesday January 6, 2021.

“Finally we are about to kick off season 14 of the Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series at Timmis Speedway, Saturday night January 9th. I can’t wait to see all our old teams, meet our new teams and be back at Mildura; a star studded line up making it an exciting way to kick off our season with the Col Beasley Classic incorporating RD1. As everyone remembers Col was a well-loved bloke around Mildura and passionate sprintcar competitor. He ran with us back in the day and we are really honoured to be able to hold this 4th tribute night in his honour. Unfortunately last season Col’s race was washed out but the weather is looking good for this weekend. ” says Mandy Searle Series Promoter
.
A new initiative this season is the Flocon Mildura Moonshine Masters. This incorporates the 3 series races at Mildura and pays $2000 to the winner. “Seeing we aren’t travelling along the Murray River this season we needed to replace our King of the River miniseries and decided that as we have a few shows at Mildura we would put an added incentive for teams to travel for each round. The driver with the highest points overall for these 3 shows based on the A Main only will pick up a $2000 bonus.” Searle said.
Making his debut in 360’s is Supercars Tickford Racing pilot Cameron Waters. Waters is driving for Colin McQuinn’s Chief Racing team in a Maxim chassis recently acquired from the McFadden Family. The team had a shakedown at practice last Sunday. “I’m not underestimating the task ahead one bit and my first run in the car last Sunday was a real eye-opener, despite having had some previous Speedway experience,” said Waters. The team plan on contesting about 10 shows this season.

Current series champ V29 Michael Tancredi was one of the first to nominate returning to defend his championship. Defending Beasley Classic winner Daniel Evans will be driving for Paul McClure in the VA9; Evans & McClure joined forces last season and are continuing the partnership this season. Solomon brothers Paul & Chris are both past Series champs and already have laps under their belts running 410 shows lately. Brenten Farrer is making a return to the series. Farrer’s V34 is another past champ and has secured a 360 for the series. V40 Rusty Hickman is another hard charger running with the series again this season. The name Hickman is synonymous with the series with both his Mum, Sandi & Dad Darren competing back in the day. Darren was the inaugural series champ in 2007/08. Another pair of brothers is competing against each other with All Star regular Mark Caruso being joined by his Steven. Mark’s SA33 and Stevens SA10 cars look alike but driving styles are different and they don’t give each other an inch on the race track. V73 Charles Hunter is a new name to the series along with V76 Adam Cullinger and rookie racer D26 Todd Moule. Phil Lock, Brendan Guerin, Jarman Dalitz, Scott Enderl, Marcus Green, Dan Scott just to name a few are pumped to get back on track and return to racing.

With a field of 29 cars the excitement has been building to run on the newly revamped B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway. The Timmis Club have spent the last few months working tirelessly laying a new race track, concrete pole line, irrigating the infield, working on Club Rooms & Kitchens and overall upgrading the venue. Congratulations must be given to all the doers and shakers that have made this happen.

On track action starts from 6.00pm. January 9th Timmis Speedway, Mildura.
