Season 15 – done & dusted
All Stars Media posted Wednesday May 4, 2022.

The Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series recently finished another successful season and now it’s time to look back and recap just a few of the highlights, but let’s face it when the racing is first rate that isn’t an easy thing to do.

• 58 cars lined up to run with the series over 9 shows, the original schedule was set for 12 shows but 2 were lost at the start of the season with border closures and then 1 was lost to bad weather.
• 11 teams completed the entire season which was the highest number of contracted cars since 2016/17.
• 8 different feature winners
• 7 different Quick Time Winners
• 8 different Hard Chargers
• 14 different drivers on the podium
• The All Star Challenge had its highest car count with 42 cars as well as an increase in the purse making it $15000 to win and a record payout of just on $40K. South Australian Brendan Quinn won the money. Quinn was a last minute entry after competing in Qld the weekend prior and with a forecast of bad weather decided to return home, find a 360 and go for it. What a fairy-tale ending for him.
• Flocon Mildura Moonshine Masters was won by Mark Caruso. Based on the 3 A Mains held at Mildura Caruso picked up an additional $3K for his effort. Mark beat his brother Steve by 1 point for bragging rights around the shed.
• Paul Solomon joined the 100 club – so now both Paul & Locky have competed at 100 series rounds.
• The end of season Championship paid out $22,000 to the top 10 drivers, plus another $8K in contingency prizes
• An average car count of 25 cars per show for the season.
• It all came to a head on Good Friday for the Grand Final where Brad Warren in the VA9 McClure Racing Team became the 13th name to go down in the history books as the Series Champ.
• Mark Charge was inducted in the All Star Legends Hall of Fame
• More than 6,500ks, 300 Frisbees handed out, bags and bags of giveaways for the kids, Trophies junior supporters, nightly BBQ’s, Beer & UDL’s, and several boxes of tissues.
“To try and sum it up it isn’t easy to do but we do know that 360’s are very strong, we had incredible racing at every show, we made more memories and we made more friends. Now we have to start the hard work on preparing for next season.” Promoter Searle says.
